No use of increasing; as eventually it will increase your expenditure (including Income Tax) more than before. Try to control the price hike.

    1. bhaisahab, phir badha hua tax kaun pay karega? Humlog toh mahangai bhatte (DA) par bhi tax dena padta hai. Sahi mayne me mahangai jab 100rs badhta hai toh hume sirf 80-90 rs hi muavza milta hai. :)

  5. most likely the DA will be around 85.8% i.e 6.9% hike. but actually it will be 6.2 or lesser as some part will be taken away by Income tax department.

  6. Please also think about those persons who are not covered under IDA/CDA. How they are managing with such price hike?

  7. why a huge difference b/w IDA and CDA. Now CDA is 90% effective from july-13.In PSU Sector it is just78.9%.

    3. Although both IDA & CDA are calculated w.r.t. Average AICPI(IW), there is difference between IDA & CDA. It happens because of difference in date of implementation of revised pay scales.
IDA is calculated quarterly w.r.t. average of AICPI of Last 3 months & Average AICPI as on 01/01/2007 (effective implementation date of 2nd PRC for PSUs) whereas CDA is calculated twice a year w.r.t. average of AICPI of Last 12 months & Average AICPI as on 01/01/2006 (effective implementation date of 6th central pay commission).

    4. Because CDA is from 01.01.2006 whereas IDA is from 01.01.2007

  8. Increase of DA is essential, otherwise valuation of black money will increase wrt expenditure of common man.

  10. We can compensate the inflation with IDA, but what about those people who are not covered in it.
